Accessibility of Online Courses Study
Thank you all for the overwhelming support and
interest in our research! We are so appreciative
of the response that we have received. As we
were not expecting nearly so much interest in
this work, it may take longer than expected for
us to acknowledge your contact and schedule an
interview. We value everyone’s
perspectives. Please be patient with us as we
process your emails and phone calls. Again, thank you very much!

Yes, send me the announcement and I will post it.

At 02:22 PM 11/7/2014, you wrote:

Mr. Andrews,

Georgia Tech’s Center for Assistive Technology
and Environmental Access (CATEA) and Psychology
Department are collaborating on a study of the
usability and accessibility of Massive Open
Online Courses (MOOCs) for students with vision
impairment. The study falls under Georgia Tech’s
approved IRB protocol (#H14209).

I was wondering if I could send some recruitment
information to the nabs-L list. From your
subscription website, it would seem that you do
allow non-subscribers to post, however, I wanted
to make sure I wasn’t breaching etiquette.

Please let me know the best way to proceed. I
have included some basic recruitment information about our study below.
Thank you

Accessibility of Online Courses
Georgia Tech is conducting a research study on
the usability and accessibility of online courses
for students with disabilities. We want to talk
to students who are blind or have low vision
about their experiences with college-level online
courses. During this interview, we will ask
questions that will help us understand your
thoughts about the accessibility and usability of
features and content of these courses. The
interview will be conducted by telephone and will
take about an hour of your time. You will be
paid $20 for taking part in this interview. If
you would like to participate, please contact
