Fellow Federationists,

The time for the 48th annual convention of the National Federation of the
Blind of Maryland is upon us! This year we are celebrating the kickoff to
our 75th year in true Federation style with a variety of not-to-be-missed
presentations which commemorate our past, report on our present, and dream
for our future. We are of course hoping that many of you will join us in
Towson this weekend for this historic gathering. If you are unable to join
us in person, however, you can still catch the excitement by following along
via our online stream and our Twitter feed.

As in past years, we will be streaming the Board of Directors meeting, all
general sessions and the banquet on our Web site. To tune in, visit
www.nfbmd.org and follow the link on our homepage corresponding to your
media player of choice. The streaming schedule is as follows (all times are
Eastern):

Friday, November 14

10:00-11:30 AM: Board of Directors Meeting

Saturday, November 15

8:45 AM-12:00 PM: General Session

2:00-5:00 PM: General Session

7:00-10:00 PM: 48th Annual Banquet

Sunday, November 16

9:00 AM-12:00 PM: General Session

We will also live tweet all sessions using the NFB of Maryland Twitter
account. To keep up on the latest from the convention floor, please follow
@NFBMD. If tweeting about the convention, please use the hashtag #NFBMD14.
Our social media team will be monitoring our Twitter feed throughout the
convention and we would love to hear from you. If you are listening to the
stream or following along on Twitter, please let us know you are out there.
To do so, mention @NFBMD in a tweet and/or use #NFBMD14. You just might
receive a shout-out from the convention so you will know we appreciate your
listening! Don't have Twitter? No problem. We still want to know you are
listening and enjoying the convention. Send an email to
nfbmaryland at gmail.com. We will also monitor this account during the sessions
and give shout-outs to those who send us comments via email.

Whether it's through our stream, Twitter, or email, please be a part of the
information, energy and excitement which will make up this year's
convention. Also, interact with us and tell us what you think. If you will
be joining us in Towson, see you there! If not, see you online!

Yours in the movement,

Chris Nusbaum, Coordinator of Social Media

National Federation of the Blind of Maryland
