While attending the 2011 convention of the National Federation of the
Blind at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, don't forget to visit the
free literature area, Sebastian K and L Ballrooms, Level 1, to pickup
copies of The Blind Voter's Guide and The Blind Voter Registration
Drive Guide. Both guides were prepared by the NFB Jernigan Institute
under a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The nonpartisan Blind Voter's Guide discusses the right of blind
individuals to cast a private and independent vote, as guaranteed by
the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), why it is important to vote, and
how to register to vote. It is available in Braille, large print,
and audiocassette.

Hosting a voter registration drive is a great way for state
affiliates and local chapters to attract new members and serve your
community. The Blind Voter Registration Drive Guide will provide you
with the tools necessary to plan and hold a voter registration drive
for the blind members of your community. It is available in Braille
and large print.

If you have any questions or will not be attending convention and
would like to receive The Blind Voter's Guide and/or The Blind Voter
Registration Drive Guide, please contact Lou Ann Blake in the
National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute by e-mail at
<mailto:lblake at nfb.org>lblake at nfb.org or by telephone at
410-659-9314, ext. 2221.
