[gui-talk] moving to apple

Moving to Apple is not as simple as comparing Voice Over to Window Eyes. The application set is different on Apple. One should think about what one does under Windows and then try to determine if those things can be done under OS X. If one is familiar with the iPhone and Apple’s IOS operating system for it, then using an Apple PC with Voice Over won’t seem as daunting. Apple provides applications that mirror the Microsoft Office programs but they have many differences in how they are used and some like Apple Mail is nowhere as feature-rich as Microsoft Outlook.

Having said all that, I use a Mac Mini now most of the time for my personal use. I still use a Windows PC for work. The IT work I do is not as easy to do on a Mac.

Regards,
Stan

Is the voice over screen reader which comes with Apple products as robust as either Window Eyes or Jaws?
