[gui-talk] A Strange JAWS Setting

If you press F7 by itself in Internet Explorer, that will take you
into carrot browsing. To close it, simply use Alt F4. Perhaps you are
pressing then releasing insert before you hit F7, or perhaps you are
doing it too fast and pressing F7 before you have gotten insert.
