Pam,

It sounds as though you are using Window-Eyes.  You should report this to the GW-Info list as I know there havde 
been some unusual things noticed with Windows Live.  I'm not saying there is anything wrong with reporting it here, 
only that your experience might be useful in helping them find a solution.
