[gui-talk] A new kind of accessibility:

Dave,

I've been saying that I regularly go to the NlS home page, which is on my
Favorites list in IE7, and usually click through to the Search the Catalogue
page. I'm sorry if you didn't notice my saying that. What I'm asking is, if
you want to start there and know which link to look for in order to go to
the Talking books Topics section, is there a link on the home page? That's
all I wanted to know. by this time, if I weren't lazy, I would have just
gone to the NLS home page myself and simply gone through the links to see if
one of them said something about Talking Book topics. Again, though I deeply
appreciated Lloyd giving me a direct link, I just really wanted to know how
to get there so I'd always know where it was, in that way. I love a direct
link as much as the next guy, but I like to have an idea of the landscape as
I traverse it. Not a big fan of learning to do things in various programs
only by hotkeys without ever understanding what is in the menus of the
program and how its functions are organized. That's just me, I suppose. A
lot of screen reader users seem to learn how to run programs and find their
way around their computers sort of in this linear way as if they were in a
tunnel, always going forward. I'm not explaining that quite well enough. But
anyway, I will just go there and see if there's a link that I never happened
to see because I always just stop when I get to Search the Catalogue.

Okay, I just went there and poked around the home page links. Yep! There is
a link called Read Talking Book topics! That's the ticket.

Whew. I'm sorry to have misled anyone, if I did. It's all right, now. In
fact it's a gas. And so forth.
of , a explacomputn now either wthings odea I'm the onle
