GW Micro is proud to announce the release of new software for the Voice
Sense, Braille Sense original, and the Braille Sense Plus. Version 1.3
of the Voice Sense software and version 5.2 of the Braille Sense Plus
offer substantial improvements and enhancements.

Among the enhancements include support for Audible books. Now you can
listen to supported Audible type 4 files. Simply download the audio book
on your PC, transfer it to your Sense notetaker, and listen to your
books while on the go. Go to www.gwmicro.com/audible </audible> to
download the software for your specific Sense notetaker. For a free
30-day trial, go to www.audible.com/braillesense
<http://www.audible.com/braillesense>.

The Braille Sense original and Braille Sense Plus now have the ability
to turn on the LCD with one simple keystroke. For teachers in the
classroom, they can simply press ENTER-4-5-6 to turn the LCD on or off.
This will let the teacher easily see everything displayed on the Braille
display in text on the LCD. So, whether you can read Braille or not, you
can press one keystroke, and be able to find out exactly what the
Braille display is showing.

On the Braille Sense Plus, deaf-blind consumers can use the new Flip LCD
function. This brand new concept is only available on the Braille Sense
Plus, and allows it to be used as a face-to-face communication device.
Simply turn on the Flip LCD option, and sighted people that are located
directly across from the deaf-blind consumer can read everything on the
LCD without the need to read the text upside down or over the shoulder
of the consumer, making the Braille Sense Plus one of the easiest ways
deaf-blind consumers can communicate to the sighted world.

All Sense notetakers also allow for the easy operation of one-handed
mode. If you need to enable one-hand mode, press BACKSPACE-1-2-3, and
one-hand mode will automatically turn on. This ease of operation
improves the ability for anyone with dexterity issues to operate any
Sense notetaker.

While accessing the Internet wirelessly, the Sense notetakers now
support WPA2 wireless encryption along with the traditional WPA and WEP
encryption, which were already previously supported. With any of the
Sense notetakers, you can use 802.11b or 802.11g. Note that the Braille
Sense original requires a wireless card for this type of access.

While accessing the Internet, take advantage of the new email capability
to open HTML emails in the Web Browser by pressing BACKSPACE-O. Rather
than trying to read an HTML email in plain text, get access to all HTML
in the email that the Web Browser supports, including links that are
sent to you by your friends for easy access to websites that are
referred to in an HTML email.

The Media Player boasts a wealth of new features, including the ability
to change the speed of a recording without changing the pitch. You can
also easily press S to shuffle files in your playlist, or press R to
repeat a media file. If you enjoy streaming media, you can now enter the
link of the streaming media directly from the Media Player without
opening the Web Browser. Catch your favorite show quickly and easily
with this new feature.

All Sense notetakers now include the latest Duxbury Braille translator
tables to ensure that each notetaker adheres to the newest standards.

These are just a few of the enhancements and features that have been
added. To see the complete list of changes as well as download the free
update, visit the following links appropriate to your specific Sense
notetaker.
