Oregon Commission for the Blind (OCB) has exciting opportunities to uplift participants aged 16-20 in the Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP).



OCB is actively recruiting job coaches and dorm staff who will support SWEP participants in expanding their vocational, social, and daily living skills.



SWEP students will be working at internships while living in a dorm setting. During this six-week program, students will focus on independent living and job readiness. This is an opportunity for SWEP staff to make an impact through increasing relational and leadership skills. The SWEP experience provides students with valuable opportunities to build connection with peers and mentors who experience vision loss while exploring career options.



Job coach and dorm staff positions pay $20 per hour and are available in Portland (June 18th through July 31st) and Salem (June 25th through July 31).



OCB is also hiring for dorm managers for Salem and Portland, positions pay between $24 and $28 depending on experience.
