This app is accessible for iPhone, Windows or Android phones and is available for use with Sound Transit trains, King County Metro, King County Water Taxis and Seattle Streetcars. I have already used it to buy a ticket for someone who was traveling with me but who normally does not take the bus. It is a great option for those who visit the King/Pierce/Snohomish County area but do not have or want to buy an Orca card. It is also great for those who live in the area and have out-of-town guests. After you purchase fare on the app you activate it immediately before boarding. The fare is deducted by holding the phone near the card reader or show it to a fare inspector on the bus/train/streetcar/water taxi. You can buy day passes for the Streetcar, Link light rail or Sounder trains. For the others you can currently only buy one ticket (fare) but it gives you the same time window for use as a paper transfer on a Metro bus(2 hours). There are similar programs in several other cities

I was skeptical of this app when it was first announced because of the inaccessible launch of the Puget Sound Trip Planner app (since improved to some degree). I was pleasantly surprised to find that this app is accessible. Here is a link to the King County website with more information and an FAQ section http://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/fares-orca/transit-go-ticket.aspx <http://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/fares-orca/transit-go-ticket.aspx>

> Don’t have an ORCA card? Avoid ticket vending machine lines, buy transit tickets through King County Metro Transit’s mobile ticket app Transit GO Ticket. Link light rail and Sounder tickets are available.
