I have been asked to circulate the following announcement from the King County Elections office. The note at the end is mine.

Voting help for those with disabilities
King County Elections will help voters with disabilities access their ballots online at the Seattle Central Library Equal Access Program (LEAP) Lab on three dates before the general election. Elections staff will show voters how to access and mark their ballot using the online ballot marking program. The online ballot marking program allows voters to log in with their name and date of birth. The voter can mark their choices on their ballot using the library’s computers and adaptive equipment. Voters will be able to confirm their selections online and print their ballot. Ballot return envelopes and a ballot box will be available.

Where:
Seattle Central Library
Level 1 - LEAP Assistive Technology Lab
1000 Fourth Ave
Seattle, WA 98104

When:
· Tuesday, October 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
· Saturday, November 1 from noon to 3:00 p.m.

Note: This is available to anyone registered to vote in King County. The computers are equipped with JAWS so you will need to know how to use it. They tell me that no witness is required. However, in order to sign the ballot in the correct place after you have filled it out and printed it you will need sighted assistance.
