The iPod Touch does not currently take pictures, but there're rumors
that the next hardware update will include a camera. I don't know if it
records, but it definitely doesn't open cans.
Respectfully,

>> Listers,
>> Well, since I haven't seen anything on the list about this, thought I'd
>> share some information with all. Some of us met via phone last week to
>> discuss the short term funding and convention activities. Seems we are
>> starting to need to come up with more fund raising ideas to keep
>> providing grants for conventions and other NFB functions. In short,
>> like the economy, we are down, but not out. (grin.)
>> So, we came up with a quick turn around drawing fund raiser. We're
>> going to sell tickets prior to our October 22, 23 and 24, 2010
>> convention. The tickets will be sold to enter the purchaser into a
>> contest for a third generation, 64 gig I-touch. Mike Mello from the
>> Seattle chapter will obtain the I-touch, and the winner will be selected
>> at the banquet at the convention. Each chapter will get tickets, per
>> the numbers Mike Freeman has distributed, so that we can keep track, and
>> determine the winner. The tickets should have space for contact
>> information for anyone entering the contest. Each ticket will sell for
>> $5.00. So, as soon as possible, tickets will be available.
>> On another note, we plan an auction for the convention as well. As has
>> been pointed out to me, this is a money maker that we have, and we don't
>> have to seed the event with affiliate money. Donations should be
>> brought to the convention, and we hope to have a successful auction this
>> year. Some folks make things, others obtain items from local businesses,
>> and we can make as much money as folks are willing to part with, or I
>> can squeeze out of you. (grin.)
>> So, be thinking of what to bring to auction, and each chapter might want
>> to get going to print tickets for the I-touch drawing. Questions?...
>> Write me off list, and I'll try to get an answer for you.
>> Enjoy the summer, and help us continue to strengthen the NFB in
