Just to let you know that a necklace can be made without drilling a hole
in the coin. Jewelers have a circle of metal that surrounds it and then
a loop is attached to hang from a chain.

Subject: [nfbwatlk] Information about buying and selling Louis Bfraille
Commemerative Coins

NFB of Washington Talk:

Here is a couple bits of information related to the potential for buying
and selling of the Louis Braille Commemorative coin.

Chapters may purchase the coins and then sell them to the public.
Once the coin belongs to you, it's yours to do with as you wish. This
means that if you wanted to sell it for profit, you are well within your
rights.

What is the U.S. mint's stance on people incorporating the coin into
objects-plaques, necklaces, pen stands? Again, the same rule applies.
Once the coin belongs to you, you are welcome to do with it as you
choose. The one exception is that you are not allowed under federal
regulation to deface or mutilate the coin in any way. This means you
might be able to make a pendent necklace out of it, but I wouldn't want
to drill a hole through the middle.

Finally, cCoins do not have to be purchased online . You can also
call 1-800-USA-MINT.
