            The Council is well into reviewing response to the December snow and ice.  Thanks for your ongoing feedback as we assess what went well, what went wrong and how we can do better next time. Parallel to the storm assessment we are finalizing the Council's legislative priorities for the coming year. This Monday, January 12 at 2 p.m. City Council will introduce the priorities for 2009.  We hold this meeting annually to let people in Seattle know what they can expect from City Council in the year ahead.  Unforeseen curveballs happen in the course of any year and we'll adapt to meet those challenges. The list of priorities we'll talk about Monday reflects what I think are the important issues I hear from people in all parts of the city - smart infrastructure development, healthy and safe communities, and truly livable neighborhoods.  

            I know this is late notice and that our meeting is in the middle of the work day, but please join us if you can. Here is the invitation for details. Feel welcome to contact my office if you have any questions.
