Lauren, we appear to be reading somewhat in tandem, although I started it on 
Tuesday and am about halfway through Volume 2. It has made me yearn to visit 
Louis Braille's boyhood home, which is the first time I've had any desire to 
visit France. Sadly, in reality, the only Paris I'll probably have a shot of 
visiting is Paris, Texas, and I doubt there's much to see there. <G>
