Research Participation Request: A Qualitative Study of Orientation 
and Mobility Specialists Serving Individuals with DeafBlindness.



The below research participant solicitation is being provided for 
informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has 
no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may 
contribute to our research mission.




Research Title: A Qualitative Study of Orientation and Mobility 
Specialists Serving Individuals with DeafBlindness.



Being conducted by: Texas Tech university


Purpose of the Study

To investigate teaching strategies used by orientation and mobility 
specialists when providing orientation and mobility training to 
students who are DeafBlind.





Role of the Participants and Anticipated Length of the Study

Following receipt of signed consent, participants will be contacted 
to schedule an interview regarding teaching strategies and supports 
used to teach orientation and mobility to people with DeafBlindness.





Proposed Participant Compensation

Yes, Participants will be offered a chance to enter a drawing to 
receive one of five $50 Amazon gift cards.
