The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

Hello, my name is Jennifer Frederick and I'm a doctoral student at the University of Michigan. I'm looking to recruit disabled and non-disabled activists, who are at least 18 years old, to complete a 30-minute survey examining what motivates people to participate in activism related to disability. There are questions on attitudes toward social groups such as disabled people, women, and racial-ethnic minorities, political participation, personality, and demographics. Participation is completely voluntary and participants can decide to exit the survey at any time for any reason. Those who submit a survey will be compensated $10 for their participation. In order to receive payment, participants must provide an email address in a separate survey that will show up once the main survey is submitted.
