Dear fellow Federationists:

Web Accessibility in Mind (WebAIM) has launched its seventh Screen
Reader User Survey. This survey attempts to track many aspects of
screen reader and browser usage by the blind around the world. The
survey asks questions on which screen readers and browsers are used
and users' proficiency with them, as well as questions about the use
of headings and landmarks, the accessibility of social media sites,
and users' feelings on web accessibility in general.

This survey is generally considered the closest thing to a definitive
resource on screen reader and web accessibility data, and is widely
referenced by web developers, accessibility professionals, and access
technology manufacturers. It is vital that as many people as possible
take this survey, since it will influence web accessibility for the
next two years or until the next survey. We therefore hope that many
of you will participate. The survey only takes ten to fifteen minutes
to complete, and no information that will identify you personally is collected.

The survey is open until November 1. It is available at

Sincerely,

The NFB Jernigan Institute Access Technology Team
