  Greetings fellow Students and most of all, fellow Federationists! We're finally in the middle of May. With the weather we had, I'm not Completely sure if April brought May some Flowers, but I can definitely say that in the Michigan Association of Blind Students, we have something for everyone that will light up your month. So let's get this show on the road with some communications updates and Announcements. Tech Talk Subcommittee Updates
  Our Tech talk live events has been going good and strong. Our MIABS At Large Board Member Shaun Williams will be  continuing the digital recorder Series, but Shaun isn't alone this time. On May's Tech Talk Event which is the 26, MIABS Secretary Steven Crouch will be demonstrating the Zoom H1 Essential Talking Voice Recorder, an Accessible recorder Sold by Zoom and A.T. Guys. The archive of the event will be found on our MIABS social media pages after the event. On May 19, a planning committee meeting will take place on our MIABS Zoom, so make sure you attend, and ask questions or your suggestions to either Shaun or I. Unseen Media Subcommittee Update
  On Wednesday April 29, MIABS Secretary Steven Crouch hosted the first Unseen Media Live Event. At the Event, he covered the History and evolution of Audio Described Media. To give a little Preview on what's to come, he will be covering resources and how to research described Media such as online/Streaming Services and how to research an upcoming or your favorite movie at the movie Theater in May's Unseen Media Event. The MIABS Dipp'd Candy Fundraiser
We're absolutely Excited and delighted to tell you that our MIABS Dipp'd Candy fundraiser is back online and working once again! Please go pick something up for yourself, or your furry legged friends. The MIABS Accessible Flee Market
    We are excited to announce the MIABS Accessible Flee Market is finally here. This is our fundraising initiative for the month of May to raise awareness about global accessibility Awareness Day.
 Our division members will be offering their talents and skills to members of the federation and outside of the federation. You will be able to purchase the product or service and the money that you pay will go directly back to the division to support programming, in person and virtual events.
