[NFBCS] "menu collapsed"

Hi Tracy:

One possible keystroke once you have opened the menu is to try pressing the
Alt with down arrow. See what happens. You should then be able to arrow
through the list. Another possibility (this happens on the Zoom website) is
to press Enter on the menu after expanding it, then try down arrowing
through the list.

This kind of problem is the result of website design, not a screen reader
bug.

Kind regards,

Curtis Chong

Subject: [NFBCS] "menu collapsed"

I'm trying to contact my Congressman, which I've done before, but now it's
extremely difficult.

I'm on the contact page, and I have to enter a topic. It says "topic", with
nothing else, but when I hit enter on it, a list comes up. I try to arrow
through the list to find what I want, but it just picks something, and then
it changes to, say, agriculture, menu collapsed, and I can't get out of it
and back to the list.

I'm using Chrome and the latest Jaws.

I also tried with Firefox, but it's even worse.

What am I doing wrong? This is so depressing.

Tracy, who wonders why everything has to be so hard when it used to be
easier
