Bill,

Thanks for the info.

I had looked at the Yamaha THR 30II. It has a lot of profiling
capabilities. There are a large number of adjustments on the top of the
unit with knobs and presets. There is associated apps for IOS, Android,
MAC, and PC that extend the amp's capabilities. I have looked at the IOS
and PC apps and they are not accessible. I do not think they are essential
for many of the sounds and adjustments. Just wanted to see if anyone had
used one of these amps. If you have an amp in mind that you know others who
are blind use, then I'd be interested.

For the instruction of instruments, I have found plenty of materials. For
bluegrass using the Murphy Method and Mike Hedding for banjo, guitar, and
mandolin. For Guitar there is plenty of teaching materials on NLS Bard and
Justin Guitar on the web. Fortunately the materials are plentiful.

 Thanks again.

Hay Dennis,
Unles you are looking at amps that have modeling features like different amp
simulators and tons of built in effects there really is no need for anything
accessable. Most amps simply have a handful of knobs and maybe one or two
push buttons. No menus nothing that you can't handle. Amps have been around
since the 40s and until just a few years ago there was nothing but a row of
knobs to deal with. Volume, bass, mid, treble maybe a reverb or overdrive
but that's it.
Good luck with your guitar journey. Oh as far as lots of teaching resources
go, try to narrow it down as there is just way too much info out there.
Bill

Are there any resources that address electric guitar equipment?

I am wondering into the world of electric guitars. I am finding the
amplifiers required for the electric guitar lack in accessibility as far as
I can tell. Are there any resources that address electric guitar equipment?

I have plenty of resources for learning how to play. Just looking for
accessible equipment that goes with the electric guitar.

Thanks for any suggestions.
