Hay Dennis,
Unles you are looking at amps that have modeling features like different amp
simulators and tons of built in effects there really is no need for anything
accessable. Most amps simply have a handful of knobs and maybe one or two
push buttons. No menus nothing that you can't handle. Amps have been around
since the 40s and until just a few years ago there was nothing but a row of
knobs to deal with. Volume, bass, mid, treble maybe a reverb or overdrive
but that's it.
Good luck with your guitar journey. Oh as far as lots of teaching resources
go, try to narrow it down as there is just way too much info out there.
Bill

Subject: [MusicTlk] accessible electric guitar amps
Are there any resources that address electric guitar equipment?
I am wondering into the world of electric guitars. I am finding the
amplifiers required for the electric guitar lack in accessibility as far as
I can tell. Are there any resources that address electric guitar equipment?
I have plenty of resources for learning how to play. Just looking for
accessible equipment that goes with the electric guitar.
Thanks for any suggestions.
