[MusicTlk] Reading PDF Sheet Music

Hello Shannon,

Thank you for this question! I know theoretically you can import a PDF score into the MuseScore software and it can convert it to something NVDA-friendly using Optical Music Recognition, but I have zero personal experience with how well this works in real life.   This is a fascinating topic and I'd love to hear input from others with more knowledge and experience.

What is the best way to read pdf sheet music? I have access to Windows, Mac, android, and iPad OS. I am also beginning to learn braille music. I'm interested to learn what everyone uses. I am willing to learn new software but would rather use free software than paid. If paid software is a better option though it could be arranged.

 

Any help would be great.
