Your door prize co-chairs, Tasabih (Abbu) Elfaki and Michelle Ault, are here, and we’re DREAMING BIG this year! Let’s aim for those unreachable stars and turn impossible dreams into reality! We truly believe the world will be a better place because of it! We have an exciting quest for all of you… We want you and all your charms at our IL State Convention!
Are you the type who runs where the brave dare not go? Do you have a crafty or artsy side? We would be absolutely thrilled to receive some homemade door prizes from you! Or perhaps you have a favorite store or restaurant you’d love to share—here’s your chance! Contribute a gift card! And let’s not forget the joy of cash prizes; who doesn’t love the feel of cash in their hand? Imagine the excitement when someone’s name is called and there’s some cash to win!
1. Contribute Your Door Prizes: We invite you to bring door prizes to the State Convention! To let us know what you plan to donate, please email us at elfaki.tasabih at outlook.com or michtlua at aol.com as soon as possible. When you bring your prize to the convention, please make sure it’s labeled, preferably in large print or braille (braille is beautiful!), so we can identify it. If you’d like a shout-out when your prize is awarded to the winner, include your name!
2. Cash Prize Donations via Zelle: If you’d prefer to contribute cash prizes, it’s easy! Send your donations through Zelle to treasurer at nfbofillinois.org, and contact NFBIL Treasurer Michal Nowicki to confirm receipt of the donation. Let him know if you have specific instructions on how you’d like the prize to be awarded. For example, if you donate $100 and would like it split into multiple door prizes, just inform Michal. Don’t forget to add a note on the Zelle donation indicating it’s for Door Prizes at the State Convention.
3. Be Present to Win: You must be present in the room to win! So, mark your calendars, attend the convention, and get ready to reach for those unreachable stars! With this group, no dream is impossible!
