[IL-Talk] Dignity in Pay Act

I am pleased to report that the Dignity in Pay Act, HB 793  has made it out of committee but we are not there yet. The bill will come to the floor within the next few days and we need to be on standby to make calls. Stay tuned to our e-mail lists for up-to-date information about the bill status and how you can help to make sure that all people with disabilities who work in Illinois earn equal pay and work with dignity.

I have learned of new information regarding the Dignity in Pay Act which I believe represents progress. A hearing has been set for Monday, May 20th before the House Labor & Commerce Committee at 3:00PM in Capitol Building Room 114. I believe this hearing may be streamed. Its purpose is to consider Floor Amendment 3, a compromise which will eliminate 14C certificates by 2029.
