I have used the spreadsheet.  You can enable accessibility features.  I got it to read well enough to do what I needed to do.

what have been people’s experiences when using Google Docs and Sheets on a computer with a screen reader?

I find the accessibility of both of them to be terrible with voice over on the mac.

have people had better experiences with other screen readers?
