[gui-talk] JAWS sluggish startup

Jonathan,

Thanks for the suggestion about NVDA. I will try that. As for update
on this issue, I installed the latest JAWS 18 and the problem persists.
However, I see that it doesn't always happen. Several times I logged out
of one user account and logged into another without any delay in JAWS
starting after successfuly logging in. One situation which does seem to
cause sluggish start of JAWS is if the computer goes into hybernation.
The system is currently set up to go into hybernation after a certain
period of inactivity. If a user is logged in it is then necessary to
re-enter the password, or if the user has logged out and there is
inactivity then hybernation mode begins. Once the system is woke up the
main log in screen appears and I have to choose the user name I want to
log in and then the password. So one way to resolve the issue would be
to turn off the hybernation mode or any screen saver that requires
re-entry of password. But I think I'll try the NVDA option first.
