Hi Denise and all,
Here are some instructions I wrote for myself when I first got this program.
How to Make Word Start with a Blank Document every Time you Open it
1. Press ALT, F to go to the file ribbon.
2. Press T for "Options."
3. On the "General" page, press ALT, H to uncheck the "show the start screen
when this application starts" check box.
I hope this helps.

Subject: [gui-talk] MS Word 2016
Hello all,
I have a brief question about MS word 2016. I have the application on my
computer. I want to know if I can set the program to just open a blank
document when I launch the program. Right now, I am faced with a template
when I launch the program. Thanks.
