[gui-talk] reading instantly from the paper?

Good morning,

I generally import my documents into the Amazon Kindle app or Apple's iBooks.

Both offer fairly decent voices. Neither does perfect on the more technical word pronunciation; however, both are constantly improving.

Their are dozens of readers that natively import Adobe PDF, Text files, or any number of other document formats.

Creating a good directory structure is quite important to aid in finding documents. That said, I will offer two strategies I use.

1) PDF, Word, and the majority of document formats allow you to add META data into the documents. Title, Author, Publication Date, Version, and Keywords. I always try to add such META data to any document I need to, retain, work with now, or find months or years in the future.

2) Most modern operating systems can create fully searchable indexes of a documents META data and often all words in each documents. Will will greatly improve your ability to find the proverbial needle in a haystack.

I hope these thoughts offer some useful guidance.
