Well, as Tracey said, there is no more audio description if you have
cablevision. Pam.

If you are really intent on audio description use the radio--you'll get a
better experience. If you really want TV with a lot of audio description
for now you will not be a happy camper. If you want easy TV access with the
audio description which is there, you need to find the way to pay for cable.
That's what the market is today. I listen to a lot of TV and just don't get
worked up over audio description except once in a long while, not enough to
make it even on the bottom of my priority list.

The problem with these proprietary boxes is that they cannot receive most
cable stations and certainly no over-the-air stations. And except for the
Apple TV box, they are not accessible. And while the apple box may itself
be accessible thanks to built-in Voice Over, most of the streaming video
does not have described audio, so as far as I'm concerned, it's a big fat
waste of money. I'm mostly interested in news and information, and none of
these boxes lets you stream the dozens of news, educational and
informational channels available on cable.

Gerald
