I thought Esc used to stop all the Javascript activity on the current
page, but if it ever worked, it seems not to do so anymore.

Not much. If you've changed the Page Refresh setting and pages are still

Hey! I got it! They should call Vanda Pharmaceuticals and join the Non-24
gangt!

Seriously, though, certain sites change their content dynamically and
there's nothing I've found that can stop this. In practice, most people
really don't grock why we'd *want* a page to stand still.

Subject: [gui-talk] pages keep refreshing

My web pages keep refreshing every few seconds it seems. I have gone into
configuration manager and changed the refresh page settings, but it still
keeps downloading the page.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks.
