[gui-talk] Desperately need help to view and read .PDF documents

I don't know whether JAWS 12 has the same issue as Window-Eyes under Windows 
XP.  Starting at Adobe Reader X, they have a function called "protected 
view" which allows PDF files to be viewed while running the file in a 
so-called sandbox mode where the PDF is read in an isolated process that is 
less likely to harm your computer if malware is present in the file.  But in 
Windows XP, protected mode prevents the screen reader access from working. 
Of course, this might not be your issue, because some PDFs are images rather 
than containing readable text.

Do you ave Adobe reader installed on your system? It's the program you use
to read PDF files. Go to www.adobe.com and search for "reader"

How can I read .    PDF documents?  I'm running Windows XP, JAWS 12.0,
Outlook Express 6.0, and the latest version of Firefox.

No matter what I do, I cannot get any .PDF documents to display.  Please
help!
