My work with computers goes back to 1985 to the old days of dos and unix
shells.  In all my system upgrades from windows3.11 through windows xp I
have never seen such a mind-bend.  In all my windows os upgrades till now
the learning curve has been literally a day if that with very similar user
interfaces.  Going from xp to windows8 is equivalent in my opinion of
getting into your car and finding the steering wheel mounted in the middle
of the roof and all the controls in random order on the dashboard and
consoles with some controls non-existent all together.  This analogy is
especially interesting given the fact that I don't drive.  LOL!
