How many times over those past 10 years did you clear the dust out of 
the computer with compressed air?  That may be why it was running as 
slowly as it was before you disposed of it.  That or the malware it 
picked up.  One of the dell computers I opened a few weeks ago smelled 
funny.  Turns out when I flipped it to drop any loose parts onto the 
workbench a dead mouse fell out.  So tell me about extreme please!
