Kelly:

You're recollection re 2003 is correct; we're still using it at work but I
have 2010 here at home.

You don't mention what version of Outlook you are using but here are a
couple hints.

1. You can navigate to a folder by pressing ctrl+y. This brings up a dialog
where you can then arrow up and down a tree of folders and press enter.
Keep in mind this is a tree some you may need to expand a folder with the
right arrow if you have subfolders.
2. You can enable the Navigation Pane. In Outlook 2007 or earlier, this is
on the View menu. In Outlook 2010, this is on the Layout Section of the
View ribbon area. When the Navigation Pane is turned on, a tree of folders
is available. Tab cycles between various elements like the list of messages
for a folder, the search box for searching and this Navigation Pane. Note
that depending on the Outlook version you are using you may need to press
enter on the folder from the Navigation Pane to have the messages for that
folder load. My recollection is that in Outlook 2003 the messages loaded
for a folder as soon as it was selected but I don't have that version
installed any longer and in 200y7 or 2010 you must press enter.

Hope this helps,

Kelly

Subject: [gui-talk] Folders in Outlook

Hi All,

I have created several folders in Outlook in which I have stored various
categories of messages. When I want to move a message to a specific folder,
it brings up the list and I can arrow through and select the folder where I
want to put the message. However, if I'm in the Inbox and want to go to a
specific folder, the only folders I can locate are the ones Outlook
creates--Sent Items, Deleted Items, Drafts and soforth.

What do I need to do in order to bring up the folders I have created? There
are items I would like to be able to refer to, but I don't know how to get
to them now.

Thanks for any help.

Kris
