[gui-talk] will Webvisum be rendered useless?

Peter:

With respect, let's talk turkey here! You are spouting nonsense in your message below. As Steve Jacobson and others have pointed out, if screen-reader vendors can solve CAPTCHA's, then so can spammers so we're right back where we started. It's sort of like in ancient history wherein Egyptian and other royalty tried mightily to design tombs that were so tricky to navigate that the royal treasure accompanying the dead personages wouldn't be plundered. But guess what? Surprise, surprise! Any labyrinth that a human can invent, a grave-robber can circumvent and only a few tombs remained unspoiled to this day. It is just so with CAPTCHA's. The only accessible system to solve this problem is a certificate system such as John Heim has suggested over on NFB-TALK and there are horrendous political problems with that solution.

To opine as you do that because we can solve the Blind Driver Challenge, we should be able to solve CAPTCHA's is like asserting that because we went to the moon, we should be able to cure cancer. I'm sorry, everyone, but that's comparing apples to cumquats!
