[gui-talk] will Webvisum be rendered useless?

Hello again everyone,

Another fly in the ointment is that if it's technically feasible for the NFB
and other partners to develop an interface to allow a blind person to drive
a car independently it's also possible for us to work with screen reader
developers and others to put CAPTCHA at -solving capability into their
products, so the accessibility problems they pose for the blind and
deaf-blind are eliminated while preventing spam bots from accessing the
site. The solution to the problem of a blind-drivable car and the ability of
screen readers to solve captchas are not simple one-size-fits-all fix yet we
proved to ourselves that we are capable of solving such complex solutions.

Well at least one community of Web developers with no connection to the
blind community or the organized blind movement rose to the challenge and
tackled the problem with success. I know this first-hand from having
successfully implemented it on a Web site this past month. See everyone in
Orlando.

Peter Donahue who is tired of hearing broken records.

The fly in the ointment is that if it's technically feasible for
screen-reader developers to put CAPTCHA at -solving capability into their
products, so can spammers. The solution to the problem is not a simple
one-size-fits-all fix.
