Hi all,

WE supports a new standard of accessibility info called UI automation, which
MS is beginning to roll-out, replacing MSAA in some of it's newer products.
The OS itself also has to have some support for UI automation, and this is
built into windows 7, but it's only made possible in vista and xp via a
windows update patch.

some people choose not to apply windows updates automatically, and others
like me may find themselves working in a corporate environment, where for
whatever reasons the system admins block a lot of MS updates from
automatically applying.

This recently happened to me, and I was attempting to use office 2010, and
was having some unexplained issues. once I applied the needed UI
automation patch (when GW told me about it), things began working as
expected.

so, if you meet the criteria above, you may be interested in checking out
the patch link below. unfortunately, you do have to work through several
links to find the right patch for your particular version of windows, but
once you do, you'll get a patch which is easily applied, and as far as I
know, if you already have it, you'll be notified of that, and no problem
will be caused if you're not sure if you need it or not:
