[gui-talk] Accessible Windows registry cleaner?

Sherri,

This isn't necessarily a registry problem.  For one thing, I think much of the advertising for registry cleaning is exaggerated, but you may have some kind of 
malware.  The inability to access the Windows Updates page is of particular concern.  Are you running something to prevent malware as well as antivirus 
software?  If so, you should try to do a complete scan of your computer.  Also, look to see if you are getting any errors or warning messages as your 
computer boots up.  If you can't read the screen, you may need to get someone to watch the screen for you and look for potential error messages.  Some 
cleaners probably are more aggressive than CCleaner, but they also run the risk of messing something up.
