MaPlEr is an accessible media player for Windows. -Steve.

From: Mar-Dy-Team support at mar-dy.com

Hello together,
Here we come with the newest version of our media player and playlist
generator MaPlEr.
We have included many new features in this version.
We think it's worth to read the "what's new"-section, because there
are some exciting ones. For example, MaPlEr now holds over 2,600 radio
stations! A special thanks to david, who make most of them available!
It was a great job.
Another one is the possibility to use MaPlEr to start your PC at a
given time.
But, read for yourself. ;-)
>
We would appreciate your commends, bug reports and suggestions for
further versions!
>
You'll find the "what's new" as always at the end of the mail.
>
Have much fun with the new version!
With best regards from germany
your Mardy-Team

What's new:
new features
- WakeUpTimer: you can set a wake up timer. That means,
when you put your PC into standby mode, or hibernation mode,
the PC will be waked up at the given time,
and MaPlEr will start playing. So you can
use it as an alarm clock.
- added ctrl+f to search the whole playlist for
a string. You can select in which fields of the play list
 should be searched.
With F3 you can jump to the next occurance of the
 String.
 Shift+F3 searches backwards and
ctrl+F3 jumps to the first search result.
These commands are available in the
 radio screen too.
- With File | restore last play list it is possible to restore
the last file(s) you have played. This works without saving
 a play list explicitely.
- Radio screen: now MaPlEr displays all stations of all
integrated countries. If you want to select the countries,
which stations should be displayed, please goto view | Display all
stations
and uncheck this box. You can select which stations should be displayed,
 by selecting Radio | Settings.
- we have many new radio stations for several countries.
A special thanks to David, who make around 2600 stations
available. It was a excelent done job!
Now MaPlEr holds stations for the following countries:
 - Australia
 - Canada (english and french seperated).
 - Germany
 - Denmark
 - French
 - Great Britain
 - Ireland
 - New Zealand
 - Norway
 - Sweden
 - USA
The stations for Canada and USA holds codes for
teretories/districts. They are noted in square brackets behind
the name of the station. so the user knows where the station is
located - especially usefull for knowing the
right time zone. A full list of codes
can be found under the Stations menu in the
 radio screen.
- The settings for volume and the channels are automatically saved
for every favourite. That means: if you adjust the
volume for a favourite, go to another radio station,
and change the volume, because it's louder than the last one,
and you come back to your previously saved favourite,
the volume will be automatically restored.
- The last radio station you listened to will be restored when
coming back to the radio screen.
- new entry under the radio menu: Play last station automatically.
If this is checked, the last station you listened to
will begin playing automatically after coming to the radio screen.
- When you convert tracks (and CD-Ripping) you can tell
MaPlEr to create a Folder for each Artist and
Album automatically. That means, if you
Convert a CD, MaPlEr will create the
folder for the CD-Artist, therein a folder for the Album,
and so you can put the next CD into your CD-Drive
without manually creating the necessary folders.
This feature can also be used to rearrange your folder with
all MP3 files mixed up. ;-)
- The global hotkeys for previous and next track now work
for previous and next favourite too, if radio is playing
 while using this keys.
- you can use view | show location of radio station to display
where the current favourite is taken from, when many
stations of different locations has the same name.
- with alt+u you can mute/unmute the playback while recording a
 radio station.
- Added a new dialog called "advanced settings". These should
only be changed if really needed. For example, here
you can adjust the time MaPlEr waits until it gives
up to connect to a radio station, or the
length of the playback buffer. If you listen
to a file through a network, it may be better to
increase the buffer length, for a result without glitches,
but the time MaPlEr will react on keys like p for changing pitch
 will increase too.
changes
- The shortcut to change frequency has been changed to
"q". If you don't have special adjustments for
your keyboard settings, just go to
settings | Default settings | Set shortcuts to default values.
 - or just make the changes by hand.
- j and ctrl+j for jump mode has been removed, because
 it's not longer supported.
- The menu "mono mode" has changed its name to "channels".
It holds the for we hope selfexplaining entries:
mono, stereo, only left channel and only right channel.
- now you can safe as many favourites as you want.
- Now you must add a radio station to your favorites list
manually, by pressing "CTRL+a". A new station will be added at the end
of the list. With the normal keys ctrl+up and ctrl+down you
can move a favourite in the list, with
 del you can remove it.
If you press a number between 1 and 0 the
corresponding radio station is selected from
 the favourites list.
- Play station automatically has been moved to the radio menu.
- the properties field in the radio screen has been removed.
The screen now displays a status list, like the
main window. Here you can find the currently playing radio
station, it's volume, the mono/stereo setting etc.
- MaPlEr waits now only 5 seconds before giving up to connect
to a server in the radio screen.
- The window title has changed, it's only MaPlEr now.
To check the version number, please go to "help" and
 select info.
- removed the setting "include paths", because it's not longer supported.
MaPlEr saves the following when creating a play list:
if track and playlist are in the same directory, no path is saved.
If they are not in the same directory, but in the
same drive, a relative path is saved, and,
if they are in total different places, a full path is saved.
fixed bugs
- If MaPlEr could not connect to a file while playing,
e.g. because you had removed a usb stick with the file,
the program could not be terminated - fixed.
- the "test playlist" did'nt work correct - fixed.
- corrected the shortcuts in the radio screen due to conflicts.
- if there was an error while downloading the Midi-Soundfont
sometimes MaPlEr could not be restarted - fixed.
--- end of what's new ---
