I at first sent this to the RP list, where they'ere having this animated 
discussion.


I know this is the Wrong list, but I'll post the question on other lists, 
too.

BTW, I think all this comparison between the Ipad and a regular computer, 
whoever manufactures it, are like apples and oranges. Why are they being 
spoken about together? Macgooks, maybe. But this gizmo? Huh?

Some useful programs will work only on a Windows machine, meaning FS and so 
forth.

I didn't make use of many of Open Book's servicess, and so I suppose an 
off-the-shelf scanning program. True? I have to admit I'd miss OB's 
photocopying capability, which I've used three or four times in the many 
years I've owned OB through two versions.

Thinking of migrating to Mac laptop and wonder if it's ok; I have the time 
and meantal energy now to try making the swwitch over.
