Thanks for responding.

1. Please understand that I did successfully download and install the Amazon 
Downloader. I know it's on my computer. I did not notice anything to do with 
the Explorer Bar. I'm not even sure what that is. But in any case, I did not 
fail to install the Downloader.

2. I didn't know that how you could track the download would be in the 
system try, or I'd have pressed F 11 (a Jaws command) and found the icon 
where this stuff was happening, I guess from your description.

3. As I said in my earlier posts, I went into the Downloader 
File/Preferences and set it so that it would *not* put anything in Windows 
Media Player, because As I said a few times, I don't know how to use 
playlists. All I wanted was the album and its tracks to be on my computer 
where I could find them and play them one at a time by clicking on them, 
which would launch Winamp. Where I also do not use a playlist.

I will make what I can of the suggests I've received. But I think I will 
have to call them and beg for help or a refund. This may not be for me.

I had a similar experience when i first tried to use the Amazon MP3
downloader.
What I had first failed to notice upon attempting to purchase an album was
that the Internet Explorer information bar had appeared, effectively
blocking the download. I had to press the spacebar and choose download from
the resulting menu.

Then, a new dialog appears, from which you can choose open or save.  And,
this is very important, you much choose open and not save.

While the tracks are being downloaded, you can very conveniently look in
the System Tray and the status of all of the tracks is very clearly
displayed as they are being downloaded and added to either the Windows Media
Player library or Itunes, which ever you have chosen in preferences.

I lost an entire album when I one time got the Thank you confirmation of
purchase page, but had neglected to respond to the infromation bar request.

I was able to write to customer support and got the chance to download the
album again.
