thanks. I think I'll just have him download from FS and run the install. I 
don't need to be a brave matador and do it all myself on principle. thanks.

If you have an Internet connection when your friend hooks everything
up, you could go to the SA to Go site at:

www.satogo.com

And run the free System Access to Go software via the web, which will
at least provide a talking interface for you to download the JAWS
software and get started. Or, you could just tell your friend to hang
around until the JAWS download file is started, since once started, it
will come up talking, or should anyway.

Good luck and let us know how everything goes with the new computer.
It's always exciting getting something new and learning all the
quirks.
