[gui-talk] Recieved my NLS digital reading device: Now whaht?

Hi,

thanks, but I learned all those things from the internal self-voiced
instructions. By the way, and I mentioned this to a man at Braille yesterday
before I realized I needed to ask him what had become of my registration,
that USB port cover is a very bad design, for anyone but especially for
children, elderly and blind users. I have other devices where a jack or a
port is covered against dust and dirt, and they'll use a flexible shield
that's firmly attached at one end so that, once blipped open so you can
stick something into the aperture, that cover doesn't just fall off and get
lost. That was one very impractical design idea.

Thanks again for your helpfulness.

Joel

Hi.

The USB port is just next to the headphone jack. It is covered with a cap
which you can pull off with your fingers. You might need to use your nails
for this.
And yes, you can copy a digital book on to your flash disk and listen to it
on your player. To know more about your player, just press and hold the play
button for 4 seconds and you will enter the user guide that will be read to
you in a human voice. Make sure you don't have any cartridge in the player
when you want to read the user guide.

Hope that helps

Regards
TaraPrakash
