[gui-talk] turning off automatic numbering in Word 2007

1. Open the Microsoft Office Button (ALT-F)

2. Navigate to the "Word Options" button and activate it.

3. Use the DOWN ARROW to locate "proofing" and move to the "Autocorrect
Options" button.

4. Activate the "Autocorrect Options" to display the Autocorrect dialog

 

Within the autocorrect options is an "Autoformat as you type" property
sheet.  Disable the bulleting and numbering options there.  Be sure to check
the name of the property sheet as there is also an "Autoformat" property
sheet which doesn't affect the options you wish to disable.
