[gui-talk] Select and copy text by keyboard

Hi Dave,

selecting text, any text, is a Windows function for which a screen reader 
user uses keyboard commands instead of the standard swipe of the mouse 
pointer. If you want to copy a few of the words from the middle of this 
sentence to your Clipboard, move to the left edge of the text string you 
want to copy.

Now hold downe your shift key. this is a sign to Windows that your next 
navigation movements are to copy material.

now move by character, word or line until you're at the end of what you wish 
to copy. A sightling would see this portion now highlighted in yellow, I 
think, indicating that it is selected.

Now use Control C to copy to Clipboard, and the usual Control V to paste the 
material where you want it after positioning your cursor.

That's it. Others may remind you that this can be done backward, too. Others 
may note that Word has functions that called Extended Selection that allow 
you, with the press of a single key (F8) to select a word, sentence or 
paragraph[ph. But neither of these regiments is likely to apply in this 
situation.
