We have what is called the Optimum tripple play, TV., internet and phone. We did it because we first got Verizon DSL, and it kept dropping the link between the DSL and my computer, and eventually, they couldn't even see that I was connected any more. So I was being charged for nothing. So when I moved, we just got the cable internet instead. And when we moved again, we added the phone. Pam.

Hi,
I don't have AT&T DSL, but I do have Verizon DSL and like it, a lot. I've
used my laptop at my sister's house, where she has Comcast Cable, and I
really didn't notice any difference between the speed of her internet
connection and my DSL. So, personally, I wouldn't pay the additional cost
for cable.

I am currently using Comcast High Speed internet. Just got notice that my
monthly charges are going up quite a lot. Comcast lists 10 Meg speeds but
of course that depends on a lot of things such as how many people in your
area are on line.
Att offers me DSL at a advertised speed of 6 Meg and of course with DSL you
are not sharing the bandwidth like Cable.
Would like to here from those using ATT DSL regarding actual speeds and
quality of service before I make a switch.
Thanks
