[gui-talk] acer netbook

You can find several on sites like JR.COM. They are made by
manufacturers like Pioneer, Sony, and Lacie. I picked up a nice Sony
unit for about $75 from JR.COM. It will work either with AC power, or
will take power from USB ports, but if you go the latter route, it will
take two ports. It is easily recognized by Windows and even though it
comes with a software CD, no additional software is needed in order to
use it, unless you want to burn CD's, DVD's etc., but you probably
already have software on your machine that will perform those tasks.

Subject: [gui-talk] acer netbook

Hello all,

I just got an acer netbook. However, I will need a rewritable external
cd/dvd drive mainly to install programs like ms word. Does anyone have
recommendations that has this computer? Thanks.
