[gui-talk] another MLB problem

Well, good luck to the Mariners this season. They seem to be on a bit of a
role; at least, so far. Anyhow, I know it's been a problem for the MLB site
because it was acknowledged by them to be an issue with the player;
according to a friend of mine who also has a subscription and who contacted
them about the issue; as I'm sure you have.

Sincerely,
The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray

I think MLB Advanced Media is still having *massive* problems with its
media Player. Quite a number of games show as going to be "archived
soon" long after they should have been archived, the Home Feed of the
Mariners game isn't available (it's one of those that's supposedly being
archived) and the Away (Angels) feed launchd but no audio. Moreover, the
Home Feed of the game -- KIRO -- worked for the live game -- at least
early in the game when I checked it. Man, if we had such sloppy
programming where I work, heads would roll and/or we'd be on the job
24/7 til we had things going. All this should have been worked out
before the season without the users being the alpha-testers (the Media
Player isn't good enough to be classed as a beta!). Rest assured that
plenty of sighted people are having problems with the feeds also; access
problems just exacertate the situation for us.

I'm thinking of cancelling my subscription. But I may hang on a couple
more days to see if MLB gets its act together.

Mike

Hello everyone,
I am still having an MLB problem. I went to the link to log in. I the
went
put in the URL for the media center. I got the list of games and feeds.

I logged into a game. I get the message, "Are you using a screen
reader?"
However, I could find no place to answer yes or no.

I then got a message to click somewhere and enter my zipcode. I found
nothing. Meanwhile, the player is just sitting there.

After writing to technical support and giving them my zipcode, which is
in
my profile, It worked for the weekend. However, it has not worked any
of
yesterday or this morning, when I checked on archives.
