I took part in a leadership seminar in Baltimore when I was the president of 
a local chapter.  At that meeting Dr. Jernigan said he did not believe in 
gimmicks to help the cause.  Shortly there after the NFB became involved in 
the blind guy that was going to sail across the Atlantic was sponsored by 
the NFB.  Of course it was a failure and a gimmick
